Blackout Laminates for Blinds and Shades

Avery Dennison Hanita has over 35 years of experience providing metallized and coated laminates for the window treatment market. When laminated to non-woven fabric, these metallized films can provide blackout opacity, low-emissivity heat insulation, and reduced solar heat build-up. All films are highly flexible and robust to withstand handling during pleating and rolling.

Transparent Solar Control Shade Films for Embossed or Pleated Blinds

Avery Dennison Hanita's nanoparticle technology provides a range of heat-rejecting, multi-ply see-through solar shade films for embossed or pleated roller and vertical blinds. These films deliver exceptional solar rejection properties and reduce heat gain and glare through an exterior surface, some with a reflective optical filter and others with a neutral appearance, while reducing up to 99% of harmful UV radiation. Unlike traditional solar shade film based on deep-dye technology, our shade films incorporate nanotechnology, enabling enhanced color stability, a neutral appearance, and superior processability without shrinking or curling. These solar shade films are available in various tones and light transmission percentages.

Furthermore, our films are integral to promoting sustainability. By significantly reducing the amount of solar heat entering buildings, they minimize the need for air conditioning, leading to substantial energy savings. This direct reduction in energy consumption translates to lower carbon emissions, making a tangible contribution to mitigating climate change. Beyond energy efficiency, our films also extend the lifespan of interior furnishings and flooring by blocking harmful UV rays, thus reducing waste and the need for frequent replacements. This multifaceted approach to sustainability underscores our commitment to environmentally responsible solutions.
