UHB Laminates for Flame Retardant VIP

Currently, Vacuum Insulated Panels (VIPs) cannot be used in buildings exceeding 18 meters due to their inability to meet the A2 flammability class. This limitation stems from two primary issues: the high calorific values of existing high-barrier laminates, which act as excessive burning fuel, and the elevated Fire Growth Rate (FIGRA) observed during burning tests (SBI), which prevents compliance with the A2 standard.

Avery Dennison Hanita is developing a cost-effective solution for buildings exceeding 18m, aligning with A2 regulations.
