Heat Transfer Metallization

Avery Dennison Hanita boasts unique metallization capabilities, utilizing an exceptional and highly efficient vacuum deposition technology. This process ensures excellent metal adhesion and high uniformity across the metalized films' length and width.

Our advanced heat reflection technology plays a crucial role in enhancing safety and efficiency across diverse industrial applications. Our core offering involves highly reflective, thin, and flexible films meticulously engineered for lamination onto various high-performance substrates. These substrates often include specialized heat-resistant fabrics selected for their ability to withstand extreme thermal conditions.

Once laminated, these composite materials are further processed and integrated into a wide range of critical products. These include, but are not limited to, specialized fire-proximity clothing designed to protect firefighters and industrial workers from intense heat, robust protective gear for hazardous environments, and high-temperature cladding solutions for essential infrastructure such as pipes and engines. The primary objective of these applications is to provide superior insulation from both thermal and infrared radiation, thereby safeguarding personnel and equipment.

Heat Transfer Metallization

The foundation of our exceptional insulation capability lies in our precisely controlled aluminum deposition process. A thin, uniform layer of aluminum is meticulously applied onto a release polyester film, creating a highly reflective surface. This precision ensures optimal reflection of radiant heat. A highly clear, protective lacquer coating is applied over the metal to further enhance the metalized layer's durability and long-term performance. This innovative coating safeguards the aluminum from abrasion and environmental degradation and is critical in maintaining the film's low emissivity, ensuring its continued effectiveness in reflecting heat.

The metallization layer is directly transferred onto the final fabric or substrate during this process. This direct transfer method is particularly beneficial in applications where the polyester carrier film is not desired as part of the end product. After the transfer, the polyester carrier is simply separated.

Double-Sided Metallized Thin PET

Our vacuum-metallized polyester film provides exceptional heat and infrared protection through its high reflectivity and low emissivity. A key innovation in our product portfolio is an ultra-thin heat protection film, available in a versatile range of 6 to 23 microns thicknesses. This remarkable thinness contributes to its lightweight profile and allows for seamless integration into various product designs without adding significant bulk. Despite its delicate appearance, this film boasts superior metal adhesion on both sides, ensuring robust and durable bonding in complex assemblies. This dual-sided adhesion capability enhances adaptability, allowing diverse layering and integration possibilities.

Our heat protection film has extensive and diverse applications in multiple industries where thermal management is critical. It is an outstanding material for thermal and infrared radiation insulation, effectively mitigating heat gain or loss in sensitive environments. Furthermore, its excellent bonding characteristics make it a prime candidate for use in board laminates, providing structural integrity and thermal insulation to composite materials.
